Oklahoma and Texas Travel Information

Additional Red River Valley information can be found on websites of various state agencies in Oklahoma and Texas.

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department provides extensive information at www.travelok.com.

Another valuable resource is www.touroklahoma.com, that connects you with Oklahoma parks, resorts and golf courses.  The Oklahoma Historical Society’s site at www.ok-history.mus.ok.us also links you to information on historic sites and museums.

In Texas, the official site for Texas tourism is www.traveltex.com. From this site you can search by types of events, sites and attractions, as well as in a specific city or region.

At the bottom of  the www.traveltex.com home page, you can also link to the various state agencies – Texas Economic Development, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Commission on the Arts, and Texas Historical Commission – that offer travel-related programs.
