Bowie Community Development and Bowie Chamber of Commerce encourage and promote the annual event of shopping locally and shopping small along with American Express. The “Blue Saturday” event falls just after “Black Friday” on the weekend of Thanksgiving. Merchants receive wonderful promotional materials for this day of shopping. It is a great way to mark off your holiday shopping list and giving back to the merchants that support our events and community all year long. Shoppers receive tote bags, balloons, and other Shop Small merchandise, as well.
